Keeping Fit & Staying Fit!

Keeping fit is a really important part of life. You only get one body, and we're all guilty of neglecting it on occasion! A healthy body = a healthy mind. If you've come to this section the chances are that you are interested in improving your fitness levels. We hope we can help!

Before we move on there are five facts about keeping fit that you need to know;

  1. People now take part in far less physical activity than they used to.
  2. It's recommended that everyone should try to exercise for 30 minutes at least five days a week.
  3. Exercise really can be fun. Ask a friend to join you and bring along some music. It reduces stress, keeps your weight in control and lifts your mood for the day by releasing the 'happy' hormone endorphin.
  4. If you don't like exercise then take up an active hobby, like football or rugby. You'll have so much fun you won't even realise you're exercising and it can improve your social life.
  5. Young people should eat a well balanced diet with a wide variety of foods.

Here we'll expand on these facts, and try to help you get fit and stay fit!
