Between the ages of approximately 3 and 11 your child will change hugely from a toddler (nightmare) to a teenager (nightmare) …. So maybe not so huge a difference! but there are some huge hurdles for your child to overcome in this time – which you as a parent can help them with.


By the time of starting preschool your child will probably be potty trained during the day, but may not be at night and may also need help adjusting to using a toilet rather than potty if they haven’t already become used to it. See our Potty training section for more advice.

 

Your child will need to learn to become independent from you and able to function in social situations around other children and adults. They need to learn patience and be able to focus on a task for a short period of time ready for school

 

Oh and then there’s the small things like Reading, Writing, drawing, basic maths – not too much then on top of growing up and trying to become their own person!
